Antigua and Barbuda Sotheby's International Realty was a proud sponsor of The Charity Golf Tournament, one of the many activities hosted by the Antigua and Barbuda Hotels and Tourism Association for Tourism Week 2022. The proceeds go toward The Industrial Workshop for the Blind that has been in operation since the 1950s producing a variety of handcrafted items to include mops, basketry, rag rugs, bar stool weaving and caning for the seats of chairs.

 

Tourism Week 2022, under the theme, "One Vision, One Team", is a weeklong event showcasing culture, leisure and lifestyle offered in our twin island nation. The week kicked off with a full day of golf to include trivias and "Putt to win" games while the Pros did the real thing. The event was well organised offering golf carts to watch the players in action, chill out zones with bars and an interactive ambiance at the clubhouse from start to end.

 

As a hole and team sponsor, we were honoured to have had an iconic golf team consisting of Sir Vivian Richards, Mr. Avery Jonas and Mr. Raymond Raeburn.

 

The team was captained by Sir Vivian, one of Antigua and Barbuda's National Heroes. Sir Vivian affectionately known as "The Master Blaster" and "Sir Vivi" is a retired Cricketer coined the greatest batsman of all time. Sir Vivi played for several teams throughout his career such as West Indies and Leeward Islands, to name a few. The team spirit was unmatched.
